Astrological Beauty 1.0: Sagittarius

Happy Birthday to all my Sag's!

The free spirit of a Sagittarius calls for a look that can go from day to night. Even if you're challenged in the makeup area,  find a signature look that you love, and placement that works for you.

You often act on a whim. Which means that carrying a flexible palette in your makeup bag is a must! Soft lavenders, plums and mauves are perfect for eyes that best represent your personality. These shades are super easy to blend and they look perfect on everyone! Be sure to pay attention to texture and keep a few matte shadows on hand.

Keep it soft during the day. For the evening, dab a deeper contrasting shade in the outer corners of the eyes, and add extra coats of mascara.

When you get the need for extra attention, slide a bold liner on the water line of the eyes or smudge with a brush just below the bottom lashes. Indigo, Mints and Jades will do the trick. You'll instantly pop without looking like you tried.

Quickie #1.0- Easy fresh face beauty

GucciFallMakeup

I love the look of skin just three days off of a facial. A look that beams, 'I take care of myself and pamper my skin'.. even at first glance in the morning.
To quickly perfect the skin, DON'T over think it! Use just what's needed.. only where needed.. and done.
Fresh Face Beauty. It's what you want, when the last thing you want is to look made up.
Follow my easy steps to get it.

1. Moisturize skin as usual, then stipple in a dab of medium to full coverage concealer mixed with moisturizer. Apply only where needed with a blending brush; the kind used for blending shadows is perfect. Apply around the curves of the nostrils, outer corners of the eyes and on dark spots or red zones. This will give you natural, flawless coverage. You can also use a little on the eyes to neutralize the color of the lids. Instantly makes you look younger and refreshed.

2. Use forefingers to warm and smooth in cream blush. Apply from the center of the cheekbone and blend up toward the hairline using semi-circular motions. Use excess from the fingertips for the apples of the cheek; this keeps the application under control. If your skin is oily like mine you may prefer to set it with a loose translucent powder. But dust powder primarily in areas that need control so that you're not matte-fying the look.

3. A little warmth from a brown liner never hurts.. plus it makes the lashes look fuller when applied right on top of the lashes.

4. Apply a thin coat of mascara to lashes: just above the pupils to the outer corners of the eyes to keep looking open and alive.

5. Add a touch of tinted lip conditioner or tinted lip balm to the center of the lips for moist, just been kissed lips.

This look will hold you over until those skin, hair and nails vitamins kick in!
