On a good week I like to get my mani done twice a week. Not because I'm high maintenance like that, but I work with my hands and its really the only way to keep them fresh.
After a day of beating faces and my 'break in case of emergency' hair styling activities.. my nails are back to crap. I've discovered a way to get it right when I can't make it to a salon. When It comes to dry time.. I have no patience! So the whole 3-4 coats thing just doesn't cut it for me.
My wonder paint is glitter polish!
A little bit of bling and they are set.
Here's how to do it: 1. Apply a similar base color to tips of the nails to touch up chipped polish (optional if you're pressed for time). 2. Brush on glitter polish starting from the tip of the nail, brushing toward the cuticle. You don't want to do the whole nail; begin to lift the brush from the nail just past the middle of the nail bed so that it looks more like a fade effect. I like to add an extra drop of glitter polish to the tips of the nails for a nicer effect. 3.Apply a coat of clear polish and you're done! You don't even have to worry about having a steady hand or messing it up by painting your cuticles. Super easy!
